i think what the bible is trying to teach us is our perception of what is a good leader may not be what god desired. nimrod was likely a great, immensely strong and charismatic leader. he protected people and empowered other humans, giving rise to civilisations and kingdoms. he was a legend in the eyes of humanity. however his motives was not to serve god rather self-serving. he may have had good intentions at start, but becoming more and more corrupt as his power and influence grew. he eventually led people astray from god to himself. i believe what god is telling us is don't fall for idolatry. no matter how charismatic or respectable you believe someone is, if their goal is not to serve god, then the result can only be destruction. because if we don't serve god we are only going to serve ourselves just like nimrod, and this can only lead to death and destruction. good intentions without gods wisdom can only cause harm…

Book of jubilee says nimrod became powerful by wearing Adam's skin coat that God made for Adam and eve. Nimrod tried to kill Abraham as a child because he had been warned that Abraham and his descendants would destroy his kingship. It was his Esau Isaac's son that would cut off nimrod's head in a field with God getting his revenge. Though nimrod knew God existed he rebelled against God.
