When i was a kid the only time we went home was when the street lights came on, to eat and when thriller came on mtv. It didnt come on as often as beat it or billy jene . So when it would come on we all ran inside except for my Christian friends who were not allowed to hear or watch thriller because it said Hell in it and was satanic. This was back when ozzy was every Christian parents worst nightmare. 😅

Prime example of music video maketing. Even though Thriller was out….. alot of people didnt hear Thriller (the song) prolly skipped it and was like wtf is this??? id say Billie jean, Beat it, wanna be starting something, human nature, pyt was prolly the popular songs from thriller Before the title track video…… off the first listen.
The Thriller video was my first exposure to horror movies. I watched the video when I was 5 years old and it scared me so much I had trouble sleeping after I saw it. The part that scared me the most believe it or not was not the werewolf scene it was the part where the zombie came out of the manhole cover and there was this green light reflecting off his face. That haunted my dreams for about a week that was a creepy looking zombie.
The whole 'I hadn't heard of Michael Jackson until I was hired for Thriller, while I was working in entertainment industry'…yeah a bit much buddy, tone down the fake humility.
