The first movies I saw as a kid were Bambi, Clash of the Titans and Jason and the Argonauts. I clearly remember Bambi’s Mom getting killed, the Cyclops from the former and the wonderful sword fighting skeletons from the latter. I was 6-7 years old at the time. Dad turned me into a sci-fi/fantasy fan. Still am, over 60 years later! Thanks, Dad! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦

I had the immense honour of meeting Ray Harryhausen back in 2002. He was receiving an honour doctorate at the same graduate ceremony I was at, when I graduated from my film design degree.
Meeting Ray & then later in 2007 getting to sit down with Sir Christopher Lee & have a conversation about his career were two memories that will never leave me.
