U usually agree with Joe, but I 100% disagree with him on this.
Like when he gave an example saying “so what if my kid is addicted to heroin and now it is going to be given to him? No I want him to go to detox centers or other centers etc“
(Paraphrasing).
I would imagine that since detox centers are already available and will continue to be and until the person you care about is ready to detox and quick, wouldn’t you like for them to have a safe place to use??
Also decriminalizing drugs does not make them more available to people… Because it is still illegal to drug traffic it is still illegal to sell drugs it’s still illegal to sell fentanyl and fentanyl pills. All those things are still illegal the only thing that’s not illegal to do is to use and be an addict. Which is a great thing. People shouldn’t be punished for having an addiction.
