The public interest group has to be either teachers or cops, right? What other public sector group is large enough to tank an election for a Democrat?
Trump = the swamp
"We don't even have the same baseline, unfortunately, in this country about what words mean. What I always thought [drain the swamp] meant" – and that's how Trump was able to be so successful. I keep running into Trump supporters (in Canada) who keep talking about all these things Trump is claiming to do and it's doing…. But none of the things they're saying are even things he claimed.
Everybody is interpreting vagueties in whatever way they think. "Drain the swamp" means something between money, influence, politics, and people fill in the specifics on their own. So it appeals to everyone who doesn't dig deeper than the analogy.
This guy knows he's over if he spits it out but one of the organizations is definitely the American Israel Public Affairs Committee aka AIPAC
My grandpa told me before he died that he had a similar situation in eastern Virginia about running for congress. He refused the offer and never ended up running
