In NZ, if ya score a try and celebrate too much, you'll get the old " settle down, mate".
I always say humility > modesty. Humility is having ultimate respect and reverence for the craft. Realising that you're not a god, and that you have to put in the blood sweat and tears. Realising your limitations and truly embracing oneself and the craft. Modesty is superficial bs so that you don't rub mediocre people the wrong way – just like Israel said.
TLDR USA culture = humility
