Humility is admitting the gift of God.
YES. I cant stand the MMA community because everyone always moans about fighters 'not being humble or, 'he seems confident, cant wait until he gets humbled'. It reeks of fucking insecurity. You dont want a fighter to showboat after success because why? Because it hurts YOU inside, as the insecure viewer/fan. No one in that octagon got there without being humbled, we're viewing the golden era of their hard work, of course they're cocky and arrogant. If that offends you, you're insecure and should deal with that.
Izzy is right about this, so many people try to play their crab bucket mentality off as promotion of humility when it's nothing more than them wanting you to fail so they can feel better about themselves for not having the same motivation, ambition, or achievement as people who reach for the stars.
When we are truly in need of humility the universe or divine providence will send it without encouragement of other humans.
