To extort money information and property for years this has been the rights of the police department
Over 680,000 Law Enforcement Officers in the US, and one of the first things I hear you say is that they are all just "glorified revenue collectors". Nevermind the people we pull from car wrecks, the CPR we perform on children, or the homeless – who cops all over the country buy meals for every day out of their own pockets. I know an officer who stood out on the corner at a bus stop every day because kids were bulling another younger one while waiting for the bus in the morning, and he did this on his off time before work. Everyone has their opinions about drug laws, but until the law is changed, the never ending effort that cops give to stop the rampant violence that stems from narcotics sales and use is often overlooked or misunderstood by individuals whose only contact with police has been a traffic stop. I love JRE but usually you are a bit more objective when engaging in a dialogue with a guest. Perhaps doing some ride alongs in a busy jurisdiction would provide you some perspective bud.
