dont forget that if you challenge it, you have to pay in court costs to fight it, while the cop shows up in uniform (intimidation), gets paid to show up, while you lose a days pay to fight it….and if the cop loses, they go on their merry way….oh and YOU have to pay all the tow/storage fees accompanied with it, win or lose..this is where BLm has a point…..traffic stops is the highest form of police interaction and where building "police trust" begins

I'm a cop. In Utah none of the departments I know of have quotas.
They have quotas, and it has come out this week that they are supposed to focus on arresting and fining black and Hispanic people…US police are corrupt. Why do US citizen's show police so much respect?
I'm calling bullshit on the Ferguson part. STL, MO (and it's boroughs like Ferguson) is a crime ridden shit hole. It tops lists of most violent cities and highest gun crime in America. Cops are hated there because so much of the population benefits from criminal enterprise, not because people are wrongly "written 8 tickets for being a pedophile with a fake name."
Michael Brown, on the day of his death, had committed a strong-armed robbery of a corner store (a felony), attacked a police officer in his cruiser (a felony), resisted arrest (felony), tried to grab the cops GUN (felony), and fled the scene of the crime (felony.) The cop didn't even know about the robbery, he was going to originally simply write Michael Brown a ticket for walking in the street, blocking traffic. He would have lived had he just used the sidewalk or accepted a jaywalking ticket with a, "yes sir. Won't happen again, sir," like how a normal person responds to getting a ticket. He would have lived if he wasn't a psychopath who victimized and terrified his neighborhood.
He was a gentle giant. A GOOD BOY who DIDN'T DO NOTHIN wrong! He was going back to church! He helped his grandma move a couch one time! He only strong-arm robbed a store, it's not like he pointed a gun at anyone (except that cop).
