Close but the soul is not the spirit. There is mind, body, soul and spirit. The spirit is how God distinguished man from animals. Specially soul refers to breathing but later in the bible it is used to also refer to a person. The mind is the intelect, computer essentially. The body is essentially everything together. It's with the spirit that we can truly learn about and conform to God but the mind must be in accord with it for it to have effect. The Greeks merged the soul and spirit in such a way that today its considered acceptable to use the terms interchangeably but it can cause confusion when you read passages that list them separately if you don't understand this.
