Go watch the "No Reservations " episode when he went to Haiti and met Sean Penn. He saw a 4 year old girl and her little brother digging through a huge landfill because that's how they were surviving. He didn't wanna do TV anymore after that. "The very notion of what I do, food television seems utterly absurd and disgusting right now" something to that extent. Think it bothered him to his dying day.
