I was a heroin addict for over thirty years, 6 time ex convict in Texas. But I been everywhere as a transient from New York, Phili, all over east coast and Midwest. I am clean and sober now 7.5 yrs. No tobacco, drugs nor alcohol. I am an activist. But one time yrs ago in Austin Texas I entered a man's home to detox cold turkey. I was using 4 grams of heroin a day, quarter crack cookie, 135 ml of methadone daily. I pulled through, after a week I was able to slowly get up an walk to the day room. Everyone was watching The Passion, I sat down when the torture scene came on. I began to release tears down my cheeks, I tried to hide my tears but everyone everyone was in tears. There were all races all men from the streets. I pray GOD BLESS our world
