Tulsi, come on…. The CIA ended up going into Syria with Alnusra forces anyway, you even talked about that on Jimmy Dore! Jimmy Dore has spoken about the oil pipeline that Assad said no to and thats why the CIA is there!
She is exactly the same person on stage and tv as she is in this setting. I wish the rest of the Dems were like her. Nothing but respect for her!

I'm Libyan and I just want to say that the situation isn't as simple as that. Saying that America took out Gaddafi and if they had just stood back and done nothing Libya would be stable today, isn't accurate. When you make that statement you make it sound like Libya is a second Iraq when that wasn't the case. Iraq was a unilateral unprovoked invasion into a country, Libya was an intervention into an ongoing conflict, not an invasion. Libya had already been divided and had been in a state of war over a month before any foreign power had done anything. At that point Libya was destabilized and there was no going back. The US+NATO helped the rebels end the revolution in 8 months.
Now I'm not saying that this action was good or bad but it's not as simple as saying "the Americans took out Gaddafi and because of them Libya is a failed state". The war in Libya had already begun by Libyans and there was no turning back, the USA doing nothing wouldn't have stabilized Libya, it would just have absolved them of responsibility for whatever happens in Libya. A lot of the times I feel like westerners just bleed together all Arabs together in their minds and oversimplify every situation and think every situation is another Iraq. Obama didn't intervene in Syria and how has that worked out for them? Where's the stability in Syria? All I see is a 9 year unending war with 50% of Syrians dead or refugees. Libya is politically fucked and in a deadlock right now but it's incomparable to the hell that Syria has become.
Now again I wanna emphasize that I'm not saying what the US/NATO "did" is good or bad but I just wanna stress that the situation was much more complicated than that, I don't like seeing Libya used as a scapegoat to score political points in an argument and then discarded. We're people too. Bring me on your podcast Rogan lol, I'll talk about it more.
