I don't know why Lucifer ( original name of Satan ) and one third of the angels chose to rebel against God, for the moment they did, they're finished. That's because, according to the Bible, in the Book of Revelations, they will be cast into the Lake of Fire for eternity. They are like a lighted candle, once lit, will burn till it's no more. They have chosen a path destruction for themselves. And it's irreversible. They have gone beyond the point of no return.
Lucifer will be the biggest loser in history. That's because he was given much by God ( Ezekiel, Isaiah ), now commands one third of the Host of Heaven ( though now fallen ), now own earth, wields great power…..
