We don't have clear goals because it's politicians starting and profiting off of wars. I'll say one thing about Trump, he let the military handle the military. I didn't like him until I realized that despite his flaws, he's not a bloodthirsty psychopath like the rest of them. He's not a warmonger or profiteer of war and bloodshed. Literally the worst type of person uses war for profit, and we're infested with them.

Jocko is right in this case, I can make it even simpler though, think of this without a indebt analysis of all wars we been in. The Unites States best two models of success are clear, Japan , Germany right , clear as a bell. Why because we are still there, thats it If in effect we maintained a Decent force there ( and why not ) it would still be a great jump off spot to the entire region. Super clean and Crystal clear !
