The owner of the gym I train at is very very slow to hand out belts. She doesn't want people getting belts they cannot carry. It's not a good look in her eyes.
Fast forward a few years later, Firas was 100% spot on and it shows with a bunch of the horrible "black belt" BJJ fighters in MMA and the ones that don't even use ground game because their credential means jack shit on the ground
