  1. in my childhood when I did karate,I was the only southpaw kid. I was born a leftie but my parents kinda forced me to use my right hand to write or eat,but in many aspects I am with mixed dominance. But I always kicked with my left leg, being the only southpaw I was not trained to kick with my left leg but forced to use the right leg. My brain as a 12 years old just exploded,I couldn't figure out how to kata properly,I had to do everything in mirror and my coach, being the jerk that he was,he punished me everytime by asking me to do 100 squats for every mistake -he even kicked me few times. One day I even had an asthma attack during my squatting "punishment session" and my parents pulled me from the classes (till then I never told my parents what he did to me cause I really wanted to be in that class and be a karateka) because one man couldn't go out of his comfort zone and train a kid that was different than the rest of the class(we were just around 20 kids)or at least tell me to move to another trainer who could train me the right way.

  2. Southpaw stance in fighting, goofy footed skating, right handed 😭 I see several ufc guys southpaw – dustin poirier, nate diaz, colby covington, Islam makhachev are right handed but fight out of southpaw and I'm learning it makes sense for grapplers but surprised dustin being right handed as a striker stands southpaw. Jon jones, conor mcgregor, Tony ferguson actually are left handed. So interesting

  3. One day I ate cannabutter (not anymore, I quitted weed) and I was watching MMA.
Something really strange happened to me, that I was like projecting myself fighting in both guard. Then I tried it doing shadow striking and for my surprise I was capable and I still am able to use both guards ( I was orthodox). Now I can switch from both easily.
