  1. We are obligate carnivores. Not omnivores. Our body is supposed to run on fat but it can run on carbohydrates. Just not optimally.

Carnivores that eat mostly meat are called obligate carnivores; they cannot properly digest vegetation. That’s us. We cannot digest fiber. If you eat corn it goes right though your body. If you ever look at the dumps of vegans they are huge and they have multiple dumps. Day. This is because the body is not absorbing much and instead is getting it out as waste.

We aren’t going to die immediately if we eat vegetables, but you aren’t getting nutrients from veggies the way you do from meat. We don’t have the digestive system to do that. A cow does. A cow eats grass and that gets converted into soluble fats. We don’t have that capability.

Becauee you won’t die immediately some people might say we are omnivores . But even obligate carnivores can eat some vegetables. They are not supposed to though; they are supposed to eat a species specific diet and that’s meat.

  2. Our ancestors didn't have the big juicy, high-sugar low-vitamin fruits we are eating today. Most vegetables also didn't exist in the form we eat them today. We bred them. And the ones that exist weren't available all year around. If you think our ancestors gorged on bananas and apples, or cooked broccoli, you have some research to do.

  3. I posted this on another video, but it applies here as well.

We are omnivores, but some of us require more meats and others require a more plant-based diet but neither pure plant based, nor pure meat diet is good for you. Just look at your teeth you have cutting teeth, tearing teeth, and grinding teeth (Molars). The Molars being used to grind the plant fibers and grain. If you don't believe this look at a Carnivore's teeth, cats and dogs. Their Molars are jagged and sharp not like ours which are more rounded. Then look at a true herbivore's teeth like a cow and compare them. You talked about this and that aspect of our bodies, but you missed this very important one, the one that starts the process of proper digestion.

As you were a vegan you were lacking meats your body changed in a way that made you crave meat more so you would ingest it, one way it did this is by making the meat taste better. You feel better because you are now getting nutrients that you did not previously have. Especially the proteins needed for proper muscle growth. It is hypothesized that Humans become smarter because we started eating meat and bone marrow. This may be why you also feel better mentally and sleep better. But we also need Vitamins which we can only get from plants like vitamin C, which aids our immune systems as well as other vitamins and minerals which can only be gotten naturally from plants. Sure, you can get supplements but most of them are not as good for you as the natural molecules found in nature.

  4. We are Omnivores in the same way bears are. We can sustain ourselfs withot animal flesh unlike cats, but our quality of life suffers.
Eating just plants is bad for you and causes a lot of deficiencies. Eating just meat you can live a long and healthy life, but it's not ideal either.
The best is the middle ground of eating some plants, some meat and some mushroom to cut down on the meat consumption.
Healthy diet is a balanced diet that has a bit of everything. And when you don't need to eat that much meat you can source it ethically.
