“Absence of the church?” The Bible does not teach the church will be “absent” when the antichrist is revealed. On the contrary it says the total opposite.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 clearly says our “gathering together” (the rapture) will not happen until AFTER the man of sin, the son of perdition is revealed. And when the scriptures says the antichrist will be given power over the saints, don’t believe the word “saints” no longer applies to the church. The word “saints” which was used in Paul’s opening letters to address the Churches of Christ, is the same word used to describe the Church of Christ in Revelation. There is no such thing as “tribulation saints”. There has never been a divide in Christ’s Body. Just as the early Saints of God who made up the Church went through persecution and death for Jesus’s sake, so too will the Last Days Saints who still make up the Church, will suffer persecution and death for Jesus’s sake. The notion that we are exempt from being put to death for Jesus’s sake, just because we were born again before Daniel’s 70th Week begins (not the so called 7 year Tribulation) is absolutely ridiculous. We will be delivered from God’s wrath but not from Satan’s wrath which is “Tribulation”. But the wrath of God is not poured out until the 6th Seal is opened; not the First Seal. The First five seals reveals the evil activities of men on earth. Which leads to wars, famines, food rationing, the persecution of the Church and death. This all leads to God’s Wrath which is revealed in the 6th seal. That is when the Church will be raptured to avoid God’s Wrath.
Think upon this, and ponder with amazement. The Image of the Beast is right in front of your eye's right now. It's an image nothing more, but it can deceive many that don't truly understand its power. Everything that broadcast an image, such as televisions, wireless devices/ cell phones, computer monitors, billboards and any other forms of advertisements are meant to deceive and control everyone. And many of those that weld its power, understand its nature. But fear not, for our Lord opens the eye's of those whom want to see and understand the truth. Moreover, our God sometimes uses vile and what appears to be evil things, for other good purposes. Furthermore, these things must transpire, in order that prophecy's be fulfilled.
