Right off the bat, you don't use KJV for first verse but use KJV for 2nd verse. There is only one Bible that is God's preserved Word and that would be the KJV. So why, if you're seeking knowledge, use anything other than the KJV? People, from my experience, use other versions because they think it sounds better and/or gives the message they desire. What sounds better or gives a personal better message is not what should be important but what is important is what God says, not man, regardless how much it doesn't sound better or gives the message that is desired. Just look at the difference between the first verse given to that of the KJV.
