to people saying that 1000 dollars a month is too low. First, its not too low everywhere, just in big cities where rents cost 10 times more than they should cost, i cant even imagine paying more than 1000 dollars just for the rent. And second, this isnt about the quantity, its about the implementation of this measure. Once this is real and everyone have their 1000 dollars every month, then we just have to keep raising it gradually because AI and robotics is going to accelerate even more, the acceleration of AI progress itself is accelerating. So those 1000 a month would in very few years become 2000 a month, and it will keep growing, specially if our birth rates keep the actual pace and our population stop growing exponentially as it always had been. Less humans, more money to everyone, so if our population doesnt grow but our robots and AI and energy keep at their exponential rate, then it would be incredibly easy to eventually make everything completely free and eliminate the necessity for money, although probably there would be advantages to keep money and the economic system of consumism at least on a marginal scale, to balance some things and unexpected problems related to authoritharianism and things like that
Unfortunately, none of this worked out , people did get lazy
