It seems difficult for the average American to disassociate Universal basic income from a rigid idea of Socialism, which is in turn, wrongly associated with Communism.
Until progressive proponents of UBI manage to bridge this knee-jerk reaction, then I fear the US will fall behind other countries in this much needed overhaul of the ‘employment market’.
A new sense of meaning, responsibility and what it means to assist our fellow man – outside of ‘getting a job’, is much needed if a good foundation for the future is to be built.
I always liked the subject to universal base income, this is I’ll encourage people to work with something else.
We need to train people in efficient learning, I think the schools right now don’t offer education on educating. Everyone grasps concepts differently, this is proven. Some by listening, others by doing / trial and error and some by reading etc.
An example is when I learn, I learn by listening. What I did in theatre school which made manus easy to remember is that we listened to our manus , recorded it, then we got to use our muscle memory because we had a scenery so it automatically stuck.
What if we maybe are too far behind in our way to educate, maybe someone who learns easier through listening and all they’ve ever done is theory, wouldn’t most of them not learn anything?
I usually got by through listening in most subjects, everyone is not like me but I’m sure we can develop a way to find people’s interests + their most enjoyable way of learning = more educated people that do what they want to do, instead of working simply to earn money?
I have a hard time thinking that they don’t have anything they’re interested of. Education is expensive.
That seems like a real cheap way to run for President or any office only because it should feels like that's just buying a bunch of votes here. Anyone that wants to just have some free universal income don't have to work. They'll have To Do nothing just sit in your a** and be a bomb. Don't contribute vote for me. That's how it comes across just somebody's got to say it.
