  1. If you look at the whole nutritional package, the only thing meat (that you don’t hunt yourself like most people don’t) comes with cholesterol and saturated fat which forms plaque build up in your arteries (artherosclerosis) and in the brain which is linked to cognitive diseases like Alzheimer’s. At most it comes with phosphorus and iron but not in high levels compared to lentils, beans, leafy greens or other plant sources. Factory farmed meat also comes with antibiotics which when consumed in high amounts what we are doing as a population is the main cause for antibiotic resistance. What do plant sources come with (what we originally ate in abundance just like any other great ape) it comes with a diverse range/high amount of beneficial compounds like phytonutrients and micronutrients, Fibre and complex carbohydrates, and is either low or absent in saturated fat with the exception of processed plant Oils which you should be limiting anyway. So what does meat really give us at all that’s beneficial besides all these nutrients and compounds that are big contributors to cancers, diabetes (insulin resistance is caused due to fat build up in cells which makes it hard to store our main energy source glucose, cognitive diseases etc… I used to be a huge meat eater btw. But after researching all this by reading countless non-Industry funded research, it’s hard to justify in my head why i would continue to eat meat loads.

  2. If Joe looked into how your body digests animal proteins & how it stimulates your liver to produce Igf-1 to dangerous levels which promotes cancer cell growth I think he would change his mind and also tell people about these dangers

  3. I was a vegan for a year and for me It was just not right, I agree that veganism can be done, it is a good idea for some and one can be an athletic person on this diet. But for me it was just a range of problems, first of my stomach fuckin hates alot of different types of vegetables like chickpeas and broccoli. It feels like I am poisoning myself, the same goes for almost all type of carbohydrates like whole-grain bread, oats, pasta and rice. I got rashes and itches, I was alot more stressed for some reason and my body just felt so garbage. I was taking shits 6-8 times a day and it was never solid, I got hemmoroids and I was cold as fuck. Before the crazy people start commenting, I was carefully watching my nutrients and I am not really allergic to anything other then morphine. I was working out 2-3 times a day and hit my protein requirements everyday and I supplemented B12. For the past ten years I have tried every single diet there is, to try and feel good, and the only one that has actually made me better both physically and mentally is the carnivore diet. I eat only meat and I have never been in better shape. I never have any chronic pain, I have less depression, less panic attacks and no hearth palputations. My PTSD is responding great too, although this one is quite uncontrollable for most of the time. I have never had a good looking body until I did one year of carnivore, went from having loose skin and a gut to a 6-pack abs on the regular and 8-pack when I eat less over time. My personal opinion is that every single person is different so one has to learn what works for you. I just want to mention that I was the person who believed that meat was straight up bad for you, for most of my life and avoided it for most of it too.
