Wait. So you're saying we have no clue how big is a cubit? Or a span? But hasn't the Tabernacle been converted into feet and inches? And wasn't it's length also given in cubits? This Bible stuff just confuses people. Where is the evidence for any of this?

Goliath was a Neanderthal species
Well in the earliest copies of the Hebrew Bible that exist, that same verse in 1 Samuel describes Goliath as standing 4 cubits and a span (6ft-8in, I think.) A big man in any era, and probably even more so in the time of King David. But not unheard of and certainly not a giant by most definitions.
