  1. I feel like there are certain cars, and certain times when paddle shift or “auto” cars make sense to have a faster shifting transmission. However, that being said, I would always rather the primitive sensations you feel from driving a manual car. Being in full control of the car and actually controlling it, is far better than having the car drive you. I would take a manual car over an auto with all the high tech engineering 10 out of 10 times. I want that primitive feeling.

  2. Rear engine doesnt necessitate or even benefit more from wider rear tires than mid or front engine. Wider tire + heavier load = more grip. Wider rear tires on a rear engine will increase understeer but also increase off the line speed. So for balanced handling a rear engine car would require thinner rear tires than a front engine. Opposite of what Matt said.

  3. In my opinion, manual transmission is good for driving experience, connection between the driver and the vehicle, also a good platform for learning skills in driving but if we're gonna talk about setting a lap record or going full blown track car, sequential gearbox or dual clutch transmission is your option due to its fast shifting gears advantage and you'd also avoid money shifts. DCT's and automatics are perfect for practicality as well so yeah.

  4. It’s called drivability daily driven car you want a instant shift by clicking a paddle shifter which is the fastest in the world and more comfortable to drive everyday it’s common sense auto is a daily driver simple and plain nice easy smooth fast
