I’ve been praying to god for the last 6 months, (on and off, sometimes my own actions contradicted this) to let me grow my faith to the greatest capacity I can have. But knowing that faith brings trials and tests of my faith, and by praying for this I invite myself open to increased attacks by satan and his demons, (Satan hates all of creation and seeks to wedge a gap between man and god), and I absolutely feel my faith grown but I have learned so much since I first started praying. I went through a period of depression, I stopped my studies and I didn’t work, I gained weight I lost some friends and I dissapointed my family. At my lowest point, I thought back and realized that god was with me the entire time, he was every good thought I had, every act of selflessness and charity, and I felt so disappointed and disgusted with myself. From rock bottom, I learned how to forgive myself, because the scripture says that I have to forgive and love my enemies and since I was responsible For my own failures, I needed to forgive myself. Since then, I’ve been praying every day and absolutely taking time to read atleast part of a chapter. I’m currently going through Genesis, trying to take notes and read online Bible anaylses to better understand the Bible, and I’m working to repair my relationship with my family and ultimately God. I didn’t deserve his mercy, or his kindness but Jesus was a ransom for all of us, and Now I’m making the choice that if I’m going to suffer from my choices, I’ll suffer for doing the right thing. 1 Peter 3 it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. God is alive in all men, he is every good thought and every act of kindness ever. As bad as my time was, it taught me to appreciate what I have now, because I know that things could’ve been much worse, and I’m going to be more responsible in my relationship with God.
