The imagined selfimportance of these comedians… 🙄
A lot of old comedy doesn't do well now, not because it isn't funny, but because it's been used so much it seems played out. I've watch some old stuff and the knee jerk reaction is, "This isn't new, this is so old." Then I think, "no shit, dumbass. It was new and ground breaking when it was first done!" Take the hack and overused phrase, "I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you!" When it was first used, it was probably way funnier! Or when you hear, "CHARLIE MURPHY!" You hear it now, and it isn't as funny when it first aired.
