This is the dumbest conversation I've heard on any of the podcasts
I think the underlying issue is that we're having a hard time saying "slavery is fine if…", "torture is fine if…", and so on, regardless how reasonable the prerequisites are. There are degrees to slavery, yes, and I'm sure a historian and an Amazon worker would have an interesting and educational conversation about that, yet ultimately, we have to admit that we really like slavery while calling it employment, and we really like torturing people while calling it punishment, because we are addicted to power specifically because we feel helpless and vulnerable, unarmed to deal with the myriad challenges of being human. You can only move forward if you have defined where you are first.

read the 13th amendment for a REAL wakeup call. honestly, slaves are better off than 60 percent of the current US population and your mom has to eat cat food…YIKES! never hurt a fly in her life worked her butt off in the hopes that you could have a good life and retired to live in her car and eat the cheapest brand of catfood donated to the food banks. california should clue you in as to where the proceeds are going from all this slave labor. its a gigantic toilet. 1 big expensive toilet NYC is slowly turing into a proclyn throne too.
When I was a young warthog painting up walls and billboards in my neighborhood. Not giving a rip about what I was doing. I eventually got caught. Well as a punishment I was sent to do 100 hours of community service or else.
I guess I’m a survivor of slave labor to a lesser degree. Haha but for real though, is prison supposed to be this wonderful place convicted cons go to. Prison should be anything but wonderful.
