When i hear people talk about the peaceful natives. How the white man came and introduced violence into their world. I don't know where to laugh at their ignorance or cry at their naiveté.
The Comanche were one of the three greatest light cavalries in human history, alongside the Mongols and the Numidians.
My farm in Texas was in Parker County (Named, I believe, for Cynthia Ann's uncle Isaac Parker) on the banks of the Brazos River (Rio de los Brazos de Dios), and it was one of the major thoroughfares the Comanche rode going south to raid Mexicans settlements to steal women and horses. There were middens peppered up and down the river in which indigenous peoples for centuries had fashioned weapons and tools from stone, and it is a great place to hunt for arrowheads and such.
sounds like he got his stories from books I'm sure he didn't live back then to know what really went on and anyone can write whatever they think happen ,alot of these books aren't really accurate.
