If you ever meet (not likely) a Lipan person. The only reason they are alive today is because their ancestors narrowly escaped annihilation by the Comanche who massacred them on such levels that the Lipan almost ceased to exist. Yet you don’t see Lipan crying for reparations. Ironic.
Texas is almost all private land simply because of the history of it since it was controlled by Spain. Under Spanish rule there was no real private property. It all belonged to the crown. Under Mexico, Mexico failed to convince any of the Spanish or Mestisos to move to Texas. Anglo Americans started to run the border on the north side and settle and ultimately Mexico decided to sell land to Americans(with a lot of provisions). When Texas won independence from Mexico there was a MASSIVE immigration from the US and pretty much all of the land was sold to those settlers.
There are tons of state parks. The few federal lands, barring the immediate area of the Mexican border, was almost all sold to the US by private land owners.
The reason the Comanche do not have a reservation is because the federal government abolished it in 1901.

At the end of the day, the Indian tribes were given reservations. But it seems most of these Indian tribes don’t know how to build anything and live backwards lives. This isnt the 18th century any more and “raiding and pillaging” is no longer a visible occupation in modern society. You gotta kind of grow up and move forward.
