  1. We Blackfoot were a warring culture too. We harried many other tribes both because we could and because the last great herds of bison (not Buffalo Joe, no Buffalo in the Americas, only Africa and Indonesia, although I would argue the steppe Bison were actually a type of Buffalo, not really a bison) congregated in our territory in Montana and Alberta Canada. We became a bison culture and to protect it and hoard it, became a very warring nation. Other tribes feared us and rightly so, they were all afraid at some level to come to our lands and try to harvest Bison for themselves!

  2. The mustang horse comes from the Spanish marismeño. The native Americans used to steal horses or trade them. Many tribes were given lands and protection from their enemies by the Spanish crown whose plans where to try to make them settle and dedicate themselves to agriculture.
Many tribes fought alongside the Spanish soldiers and that’s why The great Geronimo knew how to write and speak in Spanish.
Later when Mexico was created the relationship with the natives vanished leading to wars.
Then the Americans stole half of mexico and exterminated all the native Americans they could put their hands on.

  3. Australian Dirt Bike did two "experiments" 10 years apart, they Barrel raced horses V motorbikes. Both times, a horse won, by a full second (times average around 17 seconds), motorbikes were 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and the remaining three horses were one second behind the motorbikes, (who were too close to notice a difference). Exactly the same result, 10 years apart. That's horsemanship in a nutshell, if left to their own devices, 1 in 4 will adapt to the horse and seriously kick ass. 3 out of 4 will not get it. The Comanche obviously had "the one" who had the charisma, and community influence to set the whole tribe on the right path.
