Horses did not evolve in North America. The ancestor of the modern horse evolved in North America.
Buy his book guys and gals, you won’t regret it
Horse… technology? Not incorrect but sounds wrong. Surely a better word is horsemanship? Or gender neutral: horse handling.
Most folks have this idea north America was this vast sparsely populated continent. Actually the western hemisphere was populated by millions of indigenous people. Before the pilgrims arrived Portuguese fisherman introduced diseases that killed thousands in New England. It only got worse within 10 years 90% of the indigenous population was dead!
A town called Linville tx , a location known only by a centennial marker today , the site was a threat promised after a treaty was disinfranchised resulting in forming a very large Comanche war party , I don’t think the people knew what was coming , luck would have it a schooner was off in the bay and a lot of the towns citizens escaped out to the ship for safety , the monument stands by a lonely roadside , south of Sealy tx . Texas is rich in this amazing but keep em locked in loaded history , I imagine going to town was a two gun affair .
