People forget about Elijah Woods. Without a doubt, the best transition from child star to adult. Partly because of Elijah's part selection. It's perfect! If u created an AI that designed a perfect career from childstar to adult actor, it couldn't do a better job than Elijah. From radio Flyer in 92' until ice storm in 97', Elijah had a perfect mix of fun adventure movies for kids, adult dramas, horror movies, and comedies for all ages. Because he wasn't typed casted into kids only movies, people don't see him as a child star. Deep Impact and The Falculty are where Elijah transitions into teenager roles. This is the point where most child stars move into obscurity. They lose some of their innocents, their voices change as puberty takes hold, and they become awkward and less cute. Bascially, all the attributes that got the leading roles, fame and notoriety, are gone. Essentially, leaving them with nothing but their acting ability. Which history tells us the majority of the time, that's not enough. Elijah had already been reliant on his acting ability. Showcasing his skills through many genres early on. Because he was picky on the roles he accepted, he was able to cultivate the most impressive body of work a child star had ever earned.
The best reboot would be McCaulay, as Kevin, robbing houses.
