The rapture is a false teaching. Explain to me how people who are working deep in mines, submarines, who are prison, deep basements of buildings get out? They will be smashed into the walls or ceilings. Rapture theology was never taught for 1800 years. Some guy…one guy in the 1800's came up with this. Don't believe me. Look it up.
It doesn't say the people will be taken up to heaven in 1 thess.4 now does it? Correct? That passage is Christ's second coming. The saints are taken up to meet him in the air as he is coming back.
In the 1st century, it was very common that people would go out to meet a king or high official before they came into their town. They then would walk back to the town with that official. Again, a very common thing in that day. It even says many times where they would come out to meet Jesus or Paul as they were coming into their town.
It says in scripture that we the saints will stand with Christ in judgment to the world. So it makes no sense if we are all in Heaven. Correct?
Jesus said that on the "last day" he would come and resurrect those who are dead to receive them. So it is clearly talking about the second coming in 1st thess:4 Also, It says the dead in Christ will be resurrected first in 1 thess. Correct? Christ is not going to come back a third time later to resurrect all the dead all over again. That belief is even more anti-scriptural. So it is talking Christ second coming and not a mythical rapture. Over the past 200 years, millions of Christians were killed. How do you explain that there was no rapture for them? People are very arrogant to think they are so righteous that only they can get raptured. It's a false teaching. Good luck in your studies.
