Spending my Sunday with you guys learning genesis. Raised in the church but never had my eyes so opened.
At the 1:30:00 mark you talk about Sarai being Abram's half sister, but remember that the Hebrew didn't have another word for a close female relation besides what is translated as "sister". They said "father's sister" not aunt and "daughter of thy father's sister" instead of cousin, and instead of granddaughter they say simply "daughter". But if you investigate into it actually in either in the Book of Jubilees or Jasher, it expounds on this topic and we learn that Sarai is Lot's sister, their father was Abram's older brother and Terah blamed his son Haran for advising him to deceive the vile King Nimrod by bringing him the wrong baby to destroy, even though Nimrod smashed one of Terah's other sons from his "hand maid" it wasn't Abram who died, and when Terah blamed Haran for counseling him to do this, Nimrod commanded Haran to be thrown into the fiery furnace with Abram, but because he didn't have a pure heart single to YAHUAH he was burned up.
So Haran being Abram's half brother, it made Lot and Sarai his half nephew and niece. But because Terah felt guilty for getting Haran burned up in the furnace by his false accusation, he took Sarai and Lot and Haran's household under his care, essentially he adopted them but they were actually his grandchildren.
Haran was 30 years older than Abram and Sarai, his half niece was 10 years younger than Abram, so Sarai was born the year that Abram went to live with his 8X great grandfather Shem and his 9X great grandfather Noah.
UPDATE: Lol, I guess maybe I should have finished listening to this show before commenting about Sarai being the daughter of Haran, Abram's half brother, because this Book of Abraham also explains it very well. But I often find if I don't comment on it right as it's on my mind, I forget about what I was wanting to say, because I get distracted with whatever follows.
At the 1:10:00 mark it is talking about Terah the father of Abram marrying Edna, the daughter of his father's sister (his first cousin, his aunt's daughter) and Abram son of Terah, was named after his grandfather Abram, his maternal grandfather.
