The other fact is the indisputable direct connection between prostitution and sex trafficking. They are not the same but they are inextricably linked along with organized crime, increased STD's and other serious physical and mental health issues. When consulted, about 20% of sex workers have contemplated suicide within the past 3 months. In countries where prostitution is legal, about 85% of sex workers are controlled by a 3rd party…..a pimp or trafficker!!! That's not a choice!!!
These women and self appointed experts that suggest prostitution is empowering and a choice likely haven't had to hold a bag of frozen peas on their bruised and swollen vagina every night after being pounded relentlessly by 10 or more men.
