Jacob concluded that the man he wrestled was God because he knew about his past and because he damaged his hip joint with just a touch. A passage in Hosea gives us further clues: "He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and in his strength he struggled with God. Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed; he wept, and sought favor from Him. he found Him in Bethel, and there He spoke to us – that is, the LORD God of hosts. The LORD is His memorable name" (Hosea 12:3-5). Notice the parallel points: Jacob struggled with God, but he struggled with the Angel. One explanation for the parallel is that "angel" means a messenger. Thus as a representative of God, Jacob wrestled with God's representative and therefore he wrestled with God.
Bro plz help…what is the difference between salvation faith and healing faith?… christian can confess am healed! Am healed! (Isaiah53,5)but some still they die…can u also confess jesus is lord!! (Roman 10,9)but stil some not be born again?…if faith grows do people need to make it grow at their new birth for the confimation? Where are we missing?…How can they be sure they got it(they are truly born again)….now adays many are thinking that they are alive in Christ without knowing they are still dead in their sins…salvation faith and healing faith plz explain!
