Apex Legends taught me about tactics in life,
If I'm getting ambushed by a bunch of terrorists – they're toast
1:36 striking
I trained martial arts and learned a few philosophies from DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and EA MMA. DBZ taught me that fighting is a high level game of rock paper scissors, every thing has a counter, change up the order. fast strikes set up hard strikes hard strikes set up the big finisher, timing is everything. (And more to be honest this is the short list)
EA MMA listening to the coaches and commentary taught me "you never want to go straight back, left or right!, left or right!" "You gotta JAB, JAB, JAB" "you can really learn a lot from Bas Rutten LIVER AND ONIONS BABY" "the teep kick is the body jab of kicking" "pass to strike, strike to pass" "control the position before doing a submission" I'd also try combos that worked in the game IRL during sparring and vice versa. Fighting games helped me pick up on reading patterns and not hesitating on reacting, adapting, and countering.
Me and my neighbor played the shit outta that UFC game lol
I’ve learned a little BJJ from the UFC games as well, it helps quite a bit
