It appears that Moses severed their relationship after this incident. Later (Numbers 12) Moses has a Cushite (Ethiopian) woman as a wife and Miriam and Aaron protest. Miriam is temporarily struck with leprosy and her arm is 'white as snow.' Is this a lesson from God about racial prejudice?
