The snake is very important.
God showed how he connected power to Moses staff. If elevated, it connect to Gods truth and if cast away it showed the power of man. The magicians of Pharoah could only use Earthly power for themselves. All power is derived from God but used with Gods truth or mans choice. Hence, the snake of God devours Pharoah's power.
If you willingly show yourself to God you will symbolically see this. God can gradually eat this up from you if you are willing to give it up. God feeds Pharoah's mind by energizing his thought. He becomes a bigger version of himself. Drunk on his own power. This way he sees only himself and cannot see what is really happening. Logic goes out of the window. This shows that all the power on Earth cannot stop God's purpose. God is saying that this is what Adam has become with the use of His power of creation. God shows His creation against mans creation. He then invites us to leave our creation and rejoin His creation.
The 10 commandments.

The rest of the commandments say NOT YOU WILL. The letters at the beginning of the commandment talk about directing power. God directs power for his purpose. If we direct power for our purpose, it is a sin.
