I have never fasted. I am not sure what to believe of literal fasting, if God truly calls us to fast now. But lately I keep hearing about fasting and feeling encouraged to do it, but I know I do not have the strength to. I'm a teenager and I can't stand not eating. Just one day of not eating anything would be an accomplishment, but I don't think I can go all in right away. I guess I ought to wait for the Lord to make certain that He is calling me to fast, but I really don't know. Prayers would be appreciated, because though now I am closer to God than ever in my life, I know I can become closer still.
I fast to be closer to God. I desire His presence & to experience Him. Motivation, Determination, & Discipline is required to start & complete a fast. May God give us the enablement to do this sacrifice as unto the Lord! 🇨🇦
