No feral pigs were in the US till 1539, 33 years after Christopher Columbus died, Also Columbus never made it to Florida or the current USA, he did bring them to the West Indies. But Fernando De Soto brought them to Florida. As a fellow biologist, Forest is pretty awesome though.
"Mommy was gagging!" Forrests, heavy laugh!
There should be no tag fee for a month out of every year for wild pigs.
This bloke make shit u, even I know there were more than 6 pigs in Florida other settlers brought them in too
Pure Government greed is what caused the wild pig 'problem' in California!! They were few in number in the late 1970's in my area Zone A cept on some private property and military bases, Vandenberg, Camp Roberts and Hunter Liggett, they were free to shoot as long as you had a valid hunting license. Then for some strange reason ($$$$) the state decided you need to pay for tags for pig hunting. The price for the tags continued to rise (more government greed) till you were now buying one tag at a time because it became so expensive. In reality, pigs are not a big problem at all, farmer can make money if he/she chooses by letting folks hunt the pigs or the farmer can get a permit and shoot as many dang pigs as they want to off their land.
