There is a reason that the label “flat earther” is synonymous with the term “arrogant ignoramus”. The entire movement ( if you can even call it that ) depends on a person’s misconceptions about our physical reality and the extremely high degree of overconfidence it takes to deny and/or ignore the evidence of worldwide scientific consensus. To believe that the entire world of science has it all wrong and you have it right because you don’t understand ____blank____, is the one of the silliest things I’ve ever witnessed. I mean, you don’t even have a working model to scrutinize. You, also, don’t understand the model you’re trying to debunk. .
How many times have we heard flat earthers make an argument that boils down to the confusion between North and up? It doesn’t seem to matter how many times or how thoroughly we correct you people; flat earthers will make the same silly argument 5 minutes later.
Why do we ridicule you? It’s because you deserve it. It’s an attempt to save those who are listening to you from becoming a punchline.
