Just because you don't die, you are still affected. It will only change your opinion if it affects you and I hope it doesn't.
I sure hope commiefornia likes being the joke no one's laughing at!!!
New York and LA fucked this entire thing up so bad lol. Texas is fine. Then again we didn't put sick people in nursing homes.
The restaurant I was working at (owned by a famous musician) when the shutdowns happened closed down, and we were all laid off. Months later a "team of investors" bought out the restaurant and did not hire or offer any of the old staff their jobs back. New staff was hired, at lower wages. Meanwhile, the famous musician is still the face of the company. The restaurant I'm currently working at is a mom and pop shop, with a skeleton crew, many of whom had tested positive for COVID, and is a stressful enterprise, since customers are still coming in droves and extravagantly ordering out, and we just can't keep up with the demand. Therefore, quality is low, job safety and security is out the window, and there seems to be no end or help in sight. The industry might appear to be dying a slow death, but the fact is that many smaller restaurants are eating their own employees up, and the larger corporation restaurants that have been giving preferential bail-outs are not disappearing anytime soon.
Why are they interviewing Craig Susser? He's a nobody.
