I watch UFC 1 live with some guys in the UNT Taekwondo club and was shocked at the result. I had been taught that the judo I had been taught as a kid was well… wrestling for kids. Later, after I quit drinking the Kool-Aid, I had the choice of teachers between Carlos Machado (Joe knows the Machado bros quote well) and Guy Mezger/Ken Shamrock. After a couple years, the Lion's Den route turned out to be a complete dead end.
