I find it very funny, because we could say the same about any kind of sport out there, ¿Why? it's simple really, we can see for instance, football as a game, then we can analyse what it generates in the people surrounding it.
It's easy to notice how attached, anxious, obsessed, depressed, angry, happy, grateful or overjoyed one can get towards it and yet i don't see anyone complaining in the same way that they do to videogames. I do know that this video here was uploaded 3 years ago but I just felt that I had to say what I thought.
I have been playing videogames since i was a child, I am now 24 and let me tell you that at least for me the word "videogame" signifies an entire universe with its own story waiting for me to see, experience and be a part of It. Having that in mind i have gone through a lot of situations and i have questioned myself about a lot of things thanks to the videogames, let me make you a short list:
-Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES, helped me by telling me that life has a meaning in on itself.
-Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 Golden, gave me a very valuable lesson about self-acceptance. Playing this game I learned that in order to develop as a person the first step i had to do was to aknowledge all my qualities with no distinction at all whether they where negative or positive.
-Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 5 Royal, taught me that the world is not a fairytale, it is harsh, cruel, and sometimes unfair, however within us lies the capability of making it a better place.
-Ace Attorney (as a whole) made me realise, how important was it to back up my way of thinking and reasoning with evidence and logic, and also that everyone is innocent until the contrary is proven.
-Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Hacker's Memory, told me about how important friendship is, and how good friends should behave.
I could go on but with this, the point i'm trying to make should be clear enough, hope you have a nice day!

This is a very prodigal idea, a world in the system where a 15-20 year old receives too much fiscal reward compared to and adult after 15 years of hard work.
