I've heard that "double dose" was in reference to inheritance. If a man has 4 sons, upon death his estate would be divided by 5 and the eldest gets 2 of the shares, a double dose in order to carry on the family business.
There is NO MENTION of grim reaper scythe in the Bible. Please don't make things up. Keep the Bible pure.
