On behalf of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Taiwan, Japan, and the newly independent country of Timor Leste, i will say that we absolutely do not use gutter oil for cooking, and in the 70 years that my mom has been alive she has never heard of anyone here using sewage to cook, nor have i in my 20+ years of living. I do not speak for china but i do speak for the rest of Asia (not including Central Asia/India) when i say this. some of us may have lousy taste in food, some may mix food together in one giant plate, and some may even eat food off the dumpster (even america has this problem), but none of us cook food with cancer oil.
also to accuse taiwan of having poor people and people desperate enough to do this is insulting, taiwan is one of the worlds leading economies with one of the lowest number of people within or below the poverty line in asia, its economy is very strong and the majority of its people are in the above middle class range, the number of people who are poor in taiwan are so few that they can be counted without a calculator. and if anything like that was to actually happen in taiwan the police would be swift in their prosecution of these vandals and criminals, unlike china who only prosecutes small time gigs once every blue moon to keep up appearances.
But animals fats are the enemy 😂
