Browsing through the ancient pages of the Bible, we come across an incredible character who lived for nine hundred and sixty-nine years. Methuselah becomes the longest-living human being mentioned in the Bible. Imagine everything he would have seen, experienced and learned in those years. However, his story goes beyond numbers, unraveling mysteries that many ignore. In a context of a long and extraordinary life, divine lineages and events that defined the trajectory of humanity, Methuselah’s life has a connection between the divine and the human. We will explain the unique relationship with his father Enoch, the prophet who never died, and his influence on the lineage that ends in Noah, the builder of the ark.

  1. It's confusing. There are two Enochs in Genesis; one in the Cain camp, and one in the Adam camp.
I assume that Methuselah's walk with God was after he died? Or doesn't it work that way 🥴? Did God start to take up biblical celebrities only after Jesus, so was Jesus the first mortal who went to Heaven?
I remember that Michelangelo (or one of his contemporaries) painted two Genesis characters looking down on Earth from Heaven (or welcoming Jesus?). I don't remember whom they represented.

  2. Omniscient God, grant me the wisdom to discern right from wrong. Open my eyes to see the world through your perspective and grant me insight into the mysteries of life. May I seek knowledge with humility and use it for the betterment of myself and others.
