They were translated to another part of the country. Hebrews 11 says they all died not having received the promise of eternal life, because they are all awaiting the resurrection.
And because I'm a member of the church of Jesus christ of latter day saints and we have a living prophet on the earth today and continuing revelation I know why these men were taken up without tasting death
